Unknown OT assets
Nobody can say exactly which PLCs, HMIs or IoT devices are on the network, or what firmware they run.
Most plants cannot list every PLC, HMI and IoT device on their network, and vendors often connect straight into control systems. We survey the site, build an asset inventory, split the network into Purdue and IEC 62443 zones, broker remote access, and send OT logs to Microsoft Sentinel.
Pick a view: the high-level picture, the Purdue levels, the OT security controls, or the IoT security path.
The big picture on the Purdue model: who connects, the Azure cloud, the enterprise IT levels, the iDMZ, the plant OT levels and an isolated IoT zone, plus the controls that apply at every level.
The industrial network levels, from the enterprise (Level 5) down to the process (Level 0), with the iDMZ between IT and OT and an isolated safety zone.
How traffic moves from the Azure cloud, through the enterprise IT network and the iDMZ, down to the plant cells: logs flow out one way, remote access is brokered and recorded, management runs out of band, and everything else is blocked.
From the device to the cloud: device identity, edge gateways, an isolated IoT zone, secure transport, device management and threat detection.
Too many alerts, too many accounts with too much access, and parts of the cloud no one watches. On top of that come rules such as NIST CSF 2.0, GLBA and CCPA.
Nobody can say exactly which PLCs, HMIs or IoT devices are on the network, or what firmware they run.
IT and OT share one network, so an infected laptop can reach production systems.
Vendors connect directly and permanently into control networks, with no record of what they did.
We survey the site, build an asset inventory, split the network into Purdue and IEC 62443 zones, broker remote access, and send OT logs to Microsoft Sentinel.
A walk of the plant floor plus passive discovery, giving you a full list of PLCs, HMIs, IoT devices and firmware versions.
Zones and conduits with an iDMZ as the only IT-to-OT path, and default-deny rules between cells.
Vendors and engineers connect with MFA through a broker in the iDMZ, and every session is recorded.
IoT devices and gateways in their own zones, sending data outbound only, so a cloud link never opens a path into control networks.
OT, firewall and asset logs flow to Microsoft Sentinel, with full logs kept in immutable storage.
Zone maps, conduit rules, IP and VLAN plans and the reason behind every firewall rule.
Each step leaves something working: an inventory, a zone design, enforced boundaries and OT logs your team can act on.
Understand the business goal, current environment, risks and constraints before any design work begins.
Design the target operating model, controls and integration points so the solution fits how the business actually runs.
Build and configure the solution using repeatable, reviewed engineering practices, not one-off manual work.
Test against real scenarios and security requirements before anything reaches production.
Hand over documentation, runbooks and support so the client team can run the result with confidence.
Each step ends with a written result and a clear yes or no before the next one starts.
We fix the biggest risks first, keep disruption low and leave controls an auditor can test.
Walk the plant, trace OT data flows and build the asset inventory.
Place each device in a Purdue level and define the IEC 62443 rules between zones.
Deploy firewalls, switches and brokered access cell by cell, in planned windows.
Send OT logs to Microsoft Sentinel and tune OT-specific detections.
Leaders see the real threat picture. Risk goes down, and you can show you meet US security rules.
A live inventory of every asset and firmware version on the plant network.
Zones and conduits stop one infected device from spreading across the plant.
Every remote session goes through MFA and a broker, and is recorded.
Proven tools that find real threats and respond fast, in the cloud and on site.
Short answers on alert tuning, audits and handover to your team.
No. Work is planned around production windows and done cell by cell, with rollback steps ready.
Yes. We secure and monitor the control systems you already run, and give vendors brokered, recorded access.
Yes. IoT devices are inventoried, placed in their own zones and limited to outbound connections.
Usually 2 to 4 weeks per site. You get an asset inventory, a current-state network map and a prioritized roadmap.
Zones, access and monitoring are mapped to ISA/IEC 62443 and NIST SP 800-82, and to NERC CIP for electric utilities.
